The celebration of earth day on April 22nd began in the United States in 1970.(there's also another earth day March 21st celebrated in Northern and Southern Hemispheres.)
Generally we see people planting trees,hold an earth day fair,teach others about the environment,wear green/brown dresses,ride only bicycles(human powered transportation)in this connection.
Remember that anything you do to help our environment is a perfect thing to do on earth day and every day.Don't restrict yourself to just one day a year.Learn about how we can make a difference to environment protection.
My Husband works for a Aluminium recycling plant, they use Aluminium scrap to manufacture Ingots to serve automobile industry.I got a chance to see the plant and discuss about the "R"s.Reduce,Reuse and Recycle is not only for Earth Day.Put it in all the time and practice every day!!!
Nice to hear these days about the growing recycling plants all over the world promoting waste management and clean pollution.
I thought of to post comment on the EARTH DAY,but couldnot resist in doing that as u mentioned everyday is a earth day.
